This week I have a very simple project for you that looks expensive and designer yet so simple to achieve.
8” x 8” canvas
Pentart Chameleon Wax Paste – Green, Blue, Violet & Peach
Water Drop Chalk Ink Pads – Pink Petunia, Sage, Aspen Mist, Purple Hydrangea
White Gesso ( from Imagine Design Create )
Glue / Hot Glue Gun
Quilling toolor pokey tool
Step 1 –
Rub the pastels lightly over the canvas. Use the side of the pastel as it covers better and gives a wonderful texture effect. Set pastel with Fixative or hair spray.
Step 2 –
Cut a square piece of card and run it through your die cutting machine with the Windows stencil in middle of it.
Cut around the edge to neaten to stencil size.
Now take the gesso and dry brush it onto the cardboard cut out. Over the windows use a couple of coats.
Leave to dry
Step 3 –
Cut Roses with your die from newspaper. You can cut several layers together.
Apply distress ink or chalk ink to petals, followed by a layer of chameleon wax paste to give a lovely shine and to strengthen and protect the paper.
Use a quilling or pokey tool to wind the rose and glue together. Stick to the four windows and then stick this piece to canvas.
Step 4 –
Use some pieces of dry flora to stick above and below your central panel with a hot glue gun
Now enjoy your masterpiece.
Have a wonderful time crafting
