Hello everyone, this week I have had the chance to escape to tropical seas while storm Emma is having a tantrum outside. I was so happy when Kerri-Ann sent the Melody Mermaid stamp set to me as it gave me a chance to use one of my favourite stencils by Imagine Design Create Shells & Starfish, plus as always, a few other goodies from my Imagine Design Create stash.

Today I’m going to share a few cards I have made using the Melody Mermaid stamp set, all these cards are made using Distress InksDistress Oxides, water colour pens, stickles and Versafine Onyx Black ink.

This first card is a classic shaker card, I’ve coloured Melody with water colour pens and the watery background was created with Brusho’s, the grass is from Imagine Design Creates Mini Grasses stamp set.

This next card I came up with while making the shaker card, I have suspended three seahorses across the opening using cotton thread (I would have used fishing line but that is in the shed and I’m not going out there in this weather! Lol) I have coloured melody with water colour pens and lots of Stickles. The sea grasses in this card are from the Fishes stencil by Imagine Design Create.

This card is a simple layered scene card using the grasses from both the Fishes Stencil and Birthday Fishes stamp set, the shells are from the Shells & Starfish stencil.

And finally, after finishing the first two cards I had a few die cut circles left over and came up with this card using the cute little stamps that come with Melody Mermaid in the stamp set, the corner stamps are from the Abstract Corners stamps set from Imagine Design Create.

I hope you have enjoyed my blog today, I’m looking forward to sharing with you again next week. Eli x
