Zentangling with Imagine Design Create stencils
Posted on
Hi everyone
My turn back on the blog again and just thought I would share a couple of cards that I made using the stencils and zentangling…these were my first go at zentangling and I must admit I loved it….. so relaxing and quite freeing just letting yourself do whatever takes your fancy!
Zentangle through stencils
Window
For this first one I used the Windows and shapes stencils, as these were bigger spaces to fill I found it easier to break them up again into smaller freehand sections. I finished it off with the “Thankyou” sentiment from the Block sentiment stamp set
Star
This one was using the same stencil but just the star shape. Each star has its own design but so quick and easy to do in the small spaces. I finished this one off with a couple of star stamps from the doodled tree stamp set and repeated “congratulations” sentiment from the Block sentiments set again (one of my go to stamp sets!)
Circle
This time using the circle shape form the same stencil set I created a very simple patter in the centre of the card. I then masked it off with masking fluid and attacked it with watered down oxide inks! To get the splattered effect whilst the ink was still very wet I blew it across the page through a drinking straw. I then finished off with a few dots around the circle and stamping the “Happy birthday” sentiment from the Bird Silhouettes stamp set.
If you have not tried zentangaling honestly give it a go … it’s so relaxing.
See you soon
