I started this card by prepping my card with Gesso. Once this had dried I started to build up layers of colour with my brayer, starting with my lightest colours first centrally and then applying my darker colours to the outside edges.
-
I chose two of the colours I had previously used and stencilled circles from Imagine Design Creates Circles and Squares stencil. After these had dried I doodled around them with my white gel gen to make them pop from the background. I used the same stencil and my white gesso to create the lines on my card too.
-
I stamped the wings with Onyx Black Versafine ink and allowed this to dry before doodling on them with my white gel pen to bring out the detail against my background. I used this method for the I Believe stamp too.
-
The sentiment was stamped onto white card and glued with mat medium before being outlined with black acrylic paint.
-
I finished the card off with a little glitter before matting onto black card and onto a 7x7 white card blank.
I enjoyed making this card so much I made a Art Tag and decorated a Art Journal in the same stamp set and colourways too.
I hope you’ve enjoyed todays blog, I’m looking forward to sharing with you again next week. Eli xx
