    Graphic 45 - Design Team Application 2016

I can't believe i'm actually going to attempt this when i know there are so many talented designers out there much more experienced in using Graphic 45 supplies than i am but i am an experienced creative designer and with the opportunity to get to work with such a beautifully different brand i just had to take the chance and apply.

I  am quite new to the world of Graphic 45 with it being slightly more difficult to get hold of here in Devon, UK. I had recently seen projects created with the beautiful papers and supplies on instagram and thought i'd do a bit of research and have a go with the supplies before looking into stocking it in the craft centre. Then when i was browsing the blog i saw that Graphic 45 were looking for design team members and thought, why not?

I ordered items from the Guilded Lily range available here: The items i chose were the 8 x 8 paper pack and the pockets & tags set .

Anyone who follows my blog or social media accounts like facebook and instagram will know my work is very varied, i enjoy creating mixed media, home interior projects, papercrafting, card making and all sorts of creative projects.

When i received my Graphic 45 supplies i was inspired to create a 'sideboard' set for a relative as i thought the papers would lend themselves well to small home interior projects. As you will see above i made a post/letter holder and pen pot using the wonderful guilded lily papers, i also made a matching calendar and note holder that you can see over on my instagram ( )
When i finished these projects i decided to work on some cards. The papers in the 8 x 8 pack are really thick and lovely quality i didn't want to create an overly fussy card as i felt that the papers could hold their own with the beautiful patterns. I kept the design simple and backed pieces with mirror board finishing with one of the toppers from the set, a little organza ribbon and a crocheted lace bow.

I have a simple little demonstration to share with you today using Graphic 45 Guilded Lily collection to create a 'CAS' (clean and simple) gatefold Mothers Day card.

    IMG_20160227_124621 [354949]  IMG_20160227_124501 [354950]

    Supplies used:

Graphic 45 Guilded Lily paper pack (available in different sizes, i had 8 x 8)
Graphic 45 Guilded Lily 'tags & pockets'
    Gold mirror board
    Gold self adhesive gems
Alphabet stamps or stickers (i used Docrafts stickers)

    Basic tools used:

Removable glue dots (by 'glue dots')
    Double sided tape
    Craft mat
    Craft knife (or scissors)
    Steel ruler
Gatefold card blank or plain white card (use a youtube card folding demo to help create a gatefold card)

Step 1: Using scissors or a craft knife and ruler cut out two lily side panels from the paper pack and one of the centre square images with the lady and gentleman on.

Step 2: Back the two side panels onto gold mirror board using double sided tape, leave a 2mm gap around the edge. Back the square centre image onto gold mirror board again using double sided tape and leave a 3mm edge.

Step 3: Use a coordinating paper piece to cover the inside centre of the gatefold card, apply with double sided tape. Add the square image to the centre using double sided tape or if you'd like added depth use raised foam pads.

Step 4: Using a second piece of the coordinating paper back the two side panel pieces leaving a 5mm edging. Depending on your chosen size of paper pad and gatefold card this may leave you with a slight white edging showing on the card blank like mine, i like this effect for added depth. However if you wish to cover with another coordinating paper this would also look pretty.

Step 5: Add alpha stickers or stamped letters to a guilded lily tag (these are pre-cut and easy to pop out) I used 'mum' as felt this would make a great mothers day card. stick one side of the tag down to one side of the gatefold with double sided tape. This side will then be permanently stuck so make sure it is central. Add a removable glue dot to the other side, this will help to keep the gatefold shut when wanted but will open and close with ease. This is not essential as will work fine without the glue dot.

Step 6: Finish the card with gold self adhesive dots to the corners of the side panels and also to the tag if desired.

That's it! A simple little card to create for mothers day.

I do hope you have enjoyed looking at my Graphic 45 projects, wish me luck with the application!  I will upload demos on the other projects over the coming week and also upload some you tube videos sharing more techniques and ideas on how to use Graphic 45 supplies.

    Love and glitter,

I am super excited about these! Docrafts are releasing some amazing new 'cut and emboss' folders. I can't wait to get working with these, i've already got some ideas for them and have my inks at the ready!

If you'd like to see the rest of the range arriving soon in store and online check out the photos on

  3. Today my March / April Docrafts demonstrator kit arrived ready for me to start creating samples and designing projects to share with you all. I've been looking forward to this kit as it has a few different styles of papercrafting items that are new to me. This is only part 1 of my kit, i'm still awaiting more which i will share with you once it arrives!

This collection is called Country Life. It is totally different to any style i've worked with before, i always find myself drawn to modern bight designs so this traditional country style will be great to experiment with. I've already created a couple of cards which i'll share with you soon. I've sketched out a few other project ideas too so watch this space!

Above are some of the new Xcut mini dies, these i could not wait to get hold of! I especially liked the idea of the mini wind mill die.

Another colour range for the popular geometric capsule collections has been release, Mocha. I'm awaiting the core products from this range but have received the scrapbook & triangle mirror embellishments.

So that is the items from part 1 of my demo kit, i've already started creating and designing. I can't wait to get the rest there are some amazing things still to come! All products will be available soon online and instore.

Let me know what you think, love & sparkles Kerri.

  4. Hello everyone!

I was lucky enough to receive happy mail the other day to tell me i had won two fiskars mixed media punches.

I won them by getting involved in the #craftchallenge that Papercrafter magazine runs monthly linking to each issue. I contacted them to show them my little sweet boxes and treat flags and they decided they liked them and made me Issue 92's winner. I am super pleased and very greatful for the lovely prize.

If you would like the chance to win some Fiskars punches why not have a go, check out Papercrafter on facebook and watch out for their #craftchallenge posts.
