Doodle Flowers Stencils and acrylic paint

Posted on

Hello everyone, so this week I got to play with the new range of stencils and masks from Imagine Design Create. And I’m going to share with you today cards I’ve made using the Doodle flowers stencil. This stencil was great fun to work with, there are so many elements to use.

Card One

Using the Doodle flower stencildistress inks and blending tool I created a flower banner diagonally across my piece of cardstock and used the curved stems to create vines around the flowers.

I wanted to have some sparkle on the flowers so mixed some crystal glitter and Super Thick Slap it On and applied this through the swirls on to some of the flowers with palette knife.

finished the card off by gluing on different size pearl gems and heat embossing a sentiment from the Block Sentiment stamp set by Imagine Design Create.

Card Two

For this card I used a background I had made using acrylic paint and a brayer. I used the flower masks from the doodle flowers stencil for this card, masking off areas I liked and blending black acrylic paint around the edge of the mask. Repeating this step with the three sizes of flower mask until I was happy with the result.

Once this had dried I stencilled through the swirls in the stencil with white acrylic paint and doodled around the flowers with a white paint pen.

finished the card off with a sentiment from the Creative Quotes stamp set by Imagine Design Create.

I hope you’re enjoying the new stencil and mask range from Imagine Design Create as much as I am.

See you next week
