Hello, Its my turn on the blog today and i'm bringing you the first instalment of my Christmas Blogs for Imagine Design Create.
Did you catch Imagine Design Create on HOCHANDA? If you did you may have seen a few of these samples. I had Festive Florals and Festive Corners stamp sets and Bauble Silhouette stencil to work with along side my own stash of goodies from Imagine Design Create.
This card was created by repeatedly stamping with the snowflake corner from the Festive Corners stamp set on to a distress ink background made using the 'smooching' technique, to create larger snowflakes. The merry Christmas sentiment is from the Festive Florals stamp set.
As soon as i seen these candy canes in the Festive Corners stamp set i couldn't wait to use them. For this card i repeatedly stamped the candy canes in love letter red ink. The holly is from one of the corners in the stamp set cut out and coloured with alcohol markers. I created the sentiment banner by using my favourite texture paste and gold heat embossing technique onto parchment paper, backed by some ribbon from my home stash.
This card uses the same technique with the candy cane stamp from the Festive Corner stamp set but used as a border and matt for my bauble from the Bauble Silhouette stencil. I used distress inks for my bauble and the largest circle from the Nesting Circles and Rectangle stamp set to border it, finishing off with a little doodling and another sprig of holly from the Festive Corners stamps.
I hope you have enjoyed today's blog and stay tuned for more Christmas crafting inspiration.
Many Thanks Eli x
